ACE WEBINARS ON FINANCES, DIVERSITY AND EQUITY EFFORTS IN RESPONSE TO CORONAVIRUS

ACE continues to provide timely webinars and resources for the higher education community on COVID-19 through the ACE Engage® online learning platform.

Coming up, join ACE’s Philip Rogers and Rick Staisloff, principal of the rpkGROUP on Wednesday, April 1, for a discussion of “Weathering the Financial Storm of COVID-19.” The webinar will be followed by several breakout sessions designed to set the stage for ongoing collaboration on Engage's Budgeting and Finance group to develop solutions over the coming months. Log in or sign up for Engage to register for the webinar.

On Thursday, prioritizing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) during the shift to online learning and implementing crisis plans in response to COVID-19 will be the focus of the “DEI and COVID-19: Implications and Strategies for Institutional Response” webinar. The webinar will take place April 2 from 1:30-2:30 p.m. EDT. Taffye Benson Clayton, associate provost and vice president for inclusion and diversity at Auburn University; Lori White, vice chancellor for student affairs at Washington University in St. Louis; and Mary Jo Gonzales, vice president of student affairs at Washington State University, will discuss key DEI implications and strategies for campus communities. Click here to register.

In the meantime, a number of past webinars have been recorded and are available for viewing on the Engage library. For example, ACE Senior Vice President Terry Hartle speaks with Jamie Studley from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges and Heather Perfetti, incoming president of Middle States Commission on Higher Education, in “How Will COVID-19 Impact Accreditation?” A webinar titled “Community Colleges Respond to COVID-19 - What Leaders Need to Know” that ran March 23 is also now available as a recording. Listen to ACE’s Sherri Hughes speak with Kenya Ayers, president of Tarrant County College Northeast Campus in Texas, and Joel Frater, executive dean of Monroe Community College in New York, about how their institutions are responding to the pandemic.

Other recorded webinars relating to COVID-19 include:

Swiftly Pivoting to a Fully-Remote Campus: Responding to COVID-19
COVID-19 ACHA Guidelines: Preparing Campuses for Crisis Management at Light Speed
Managing Campus Well-being During the COVID-19 Crisis

ACE will continue to develop content and compile resources relating to COVID-19 as the situation progresses. The best way to stay informed of future webinars, toolkits, discussions, and other resources is to join the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Resources and Guidelines group on Engage.
