Past Programs
A number of highly successful CONAHEC initiatives have reached the end of their funding cycles. EDUCAMEXUS had a positive effect on the lives of over 100,000 Spanish speaking people all over the United States thanks to the support of the Lumina Foundation for Education, Mexico's Secretaría de Educación Pública and the Western Union Foundation. BorderPACT provided mini-grants for community development projects in health, environment, economic development, and education which catalyzed collaboration between U.S.-Mexico border region non governmental organizations and higher education institutions thanks to the support of the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation. Others have been responses to specific challenges that have affected our members such as the H1N1 website which provided information about the excellent response of Mexico's higher education institutions to the H1N1 epidemic and the health and safety concerns that arose as a result, especially for international students.
If you have ideas about how any of these programs could become active again, please feel free to contact us - we'd be happy to hear from you.
