History:
Scholars at Risk protects scholars suffering threats to their lives, liberty, well-being, and their opportunity for education. The protection is given in part by arranging positions of sanctuary at institutions in our network for those forced to flee their country
The visits of academic refuge usually range from 3 months to 2 years. The average visits is an academic year.
During the visits, scholars may teach, research, lecture or study, depending on the needs of the host institution, the scholar’s interests, and the terms established for the visit.
